Job summary

AT&T in United States (WA) Bothell is seeking a Lead UX Designer to drive high-performing customer experiences across web and mobile. You will translate user needs and business goals into intuitive, accessible solutions while guiding design systems and enterprise-scale patterns.

You will mentor designers, collaborate with product managers and engineers, and apply AI-enabled tools to accelerate ideation from concepts to production-ready experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UX design, HCI, visual communication, or similar.
• 5+ years of related experience; in-house or creative agency experience a plus.
• Portfolio featuring structural design for various customer journeys.
• Robust understanding of UX fundamentals with a curiosity for emerging technologies.
• Knowledgeable in digital brand experience and customer-focused thinking.
• Experience making data-driven design decisions to drive engagement and conversion.
• Well-versed in accessibility standards, responsive design, and modern design tools with advanced expertise in Figma, including component architecture, library management, and design token systems.
• Proven experience designing, building, and evolving enterprise-scale design systems, including component governance, documentation, and accessibility standards while balancing consistency, flexibility, and engineering feasibility.
• Ability to effectively prompt, evaluate, and refine AI-generated design concepts while applying UX best practices and human judgment.
• Familiarity with designing experiences that incorporate conversational AI, generative AI, personalization, or intelligent-assistance patterns is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design across multiple products and journeys to ensure cohesive customer experience.
• Use AI-enabled design and prototyping tools to accelerate ideation and create interactive prototypes.
• Collaborate to align design with overarching strategies (campaign, site, UX).
• Partner with writers, PMs, engineers, and design system teams to translate needs into reusable components.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and style guides for consistency.
• Design production-ready component libraries in Figma from atoms to organisms.
• Mentor designers through reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Facilitate cross-team alignment on UX approaches amid ambiguity and constraints.
• Incorporate usability testing results into design decisions.
