Job summary

Riverside Insights is seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to lead the end-to-end design of the Reach platform, driving the next generation of portfolio assessments like CogAT and Iowa Assessments. You will establish the UX framework, design system, and interactions from scratch alongside Engineering, Product, and Psychometrics partners.

This is a 0-to-1 build with no existing product to iterate on; you will own UX strategy, wireframes, high-fidelity design, accessibility, and the design system

Qualifications

• 4-7 years in product/UX/UI design with strong visual/interaction skills.
• Founding or lead designer on a 0-to-1 or greenfield build.
• Strong UX research capability to inform personas and flows.
• Experience building and maintaining a design system from scratch.
• Proficient in Figma for flows, wireframes and prototypes.
• Experience designing multi-role platforms with complex dashboards and reports.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility and responsive design principles.
• Comfort working with high ambiguity and little existing structure.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UX strategy for Reach from ground up.
• Lead user research and discovery with students, educators, administrators.
• Translate findings into personas, journeys, and specs.
• Build wireframes and interactive prototypes for validation.
• Define IA and navigation for a multi-role platform.
• Turn assessment data into actionable dashboards and reports.
• Design onboarding and in-product guidance for admins and educators.
• Establish UX success metrics and inform product roadmap.
