Job summary

Riverside Insights is building an enterprise-grade platform from the ground up to scale teaching assessments for millions of students. You will own the technical vision, architecture, and a dedicated team, working hands-on with engineers to ship the Reach platform and the next-generation CogAT system.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with product, psychometrics, and content teams, delivering a secure, compliant, and scalable solution for districts and schools while driving rapid

Qualifications

• Led a 0-to-1, enterprise-scale platform build.
• Experience architecting and scaling production systems in AWS.
• Senior technical decision-maker on long-running projects (24+ months).
• Experience operating in regulated data environments (FERPA, COPPA, HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Full-stack fluency across front-end, back-end, DevOps and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, construction, and testing of the Reach platform through a Fall 2027 pilot and 2028 launch.
• Design a multi-component platform for real production volume and institutional buyers.
• Build and lead a team (6-10 engineers) within 60 days.
• Ensure day-one migration experiences are superior to current setups.
• Maintain hands-on coding alongside the team.
• Make build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions with cost and risk in view.
• Set AI-native engineering standards and scalable workflows.
