Job summary

Mentor Collective is seeking a creative Product/UX Designer to lead the end-to-end user experience in a fully remote environment. You will collaborate with the Product Manager, Head of Product & Customer Success, and engineering to shape interfaces and workflows, leveraging rapid prototyping and AI to accelerate design processes.

You’ll thrive with strong UX foundations, a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX, and a proactive mindset focused on improving the product for higher education

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional UX/Product Design experience in a web or SaaS environment.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, user flows, and usability heuristics.
• Proficiency in Figma or equivalent tools to build interactive prototypes.
• Ability to balance ideal experiences with technical feasibility and business objectives.
• Excellent communication to articulate design decisions and run workshops.
• Experience with AI tools and modern design workflows.
• Eagerness to learn WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End UX/UI Design: translate strategy into intuitive user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs.
• Rapid Prototyping & Testing: create high-fidelity prototypes for internal and partner validation.
• Research Collaboration & Application: synthesize user feedback into simple product solutions.
• Bring the Brand to Life: apply Mentor Collective’s brand identity across the product.
• Design System Stewardship: maintain and expand the UI component library.
• AI & Workflow Innovation: experiment with AI tools to accelerate design workflows.
