Job summary

AES Corporation in New Orleans seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site management of utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will coordinate safety, EPC contracts, and project execution plans, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality goals are met.

The role requires 5+ years in on-site construction management, advanced knowledge of CM processes, and willingness to travel and be on site 5 days a week. Procore experience is a plus and OSHA 30 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years of onsite utility-scale solar, battery storage, and/or substation construction management.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and quality standards.
• Willingness to travel and be on site five days a week.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with safety department to prioritize safety goals.
• Coordinate with the PM team to prepare the project execution plan and kickoff meetings.
• Manage on-site contract employees and approve time records weekly.
• Oversee contracts, change orders, and variances with EPCs.
• Monitor on-site progress and ensure QA/QC adherence with third-party EPCs.
• Facilitate communications between DEQ, AHJ, and EPC on environmental concerns.
• Lead daily safety walks and maintain punch lists to ensure best-in-class assets.
