Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking a Lead Solar Field Service Technician for utility-scale PV repair. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain ground-mount solar systems and inverters while leading a small field crew on multiple sites across North America.

The role requires 3+ years in utility-scale solar, strong electrical skills, and OSHA/NFPA 70E knowledge. This is a 100% travel position with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of utility-scale solar experience.
• Experience leading field crews.
• Experience on megawatt-scale PV systems.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• OSHA/NFPA 70E safety knowledge.
• Proficient with testing equipment and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems (inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits).
• Lead and direct 2+ field technicians on active solar farm sites.
• Assign work, track progress, and keep jobs on schedule.
• Perform O&M on utility-scale solar plants.
• Inspect completed work for quality and safety standards.
• Maintain documentation and reports for compliance.
