Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a Utility Locator III to oversee a SUE field crew and ensure precise data collection and timely delivery to the office. You will manage safety, schedules, and budgets while solving field challenges.

The role requires strong experience with SUE equipment, total stations, GPS, and vacuum excavation, plus a willingness to travel and work outdoors year-round. ESOP participation is offered.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in Utility Locating and SUE field operations.
• Proficiency with SUE locating equipment, total stations, GPS, and vacuum excavation gear.
• Some proficiency with ground penetrating radar is desired.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and background check

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Utility Location/SUE field crew.
• Drive quality, safety, schedule and budget adherence for client service.
• Operate field equipment (GPR, designation tools, cameras, probes, tampers) per safety standards.
• Organize field work, collect data, and deliver results to the office with accurate records.
• Travel overnight as required and work outdoors in varied terrain and weather.
