Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a Utility Locator III to lead a SUE field crew, manage field operations, and ensure accurate data collection and reporting. The role requires proficiency with SUE locating equipment, total stations, GPS, and excavation tools.

The candidate will organize field work, deliver data to the office with precise records, and occasionally travel overnight. Expect to work outdoors across varied terrain in different weather conditions while upholding safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years in Utility Locating and SUE field operations.
• Proficiency with SUE locating equipment, total stations, and GPS.
• Strong data collection, recordkeeping, and problem solving.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, background check and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Utility Location and SUE field crew and manage field operations.
• Ensure safety, quality and timely schedules within budgets, and responsive service to clients.
• Operate SUE field equipment such as GPR, electromagnetic designation equipment, sewer camera, and vacuum excavation gear.
• Organize field work and direct crew, deliver data to the office with accurate records.
• Some overnight travel will be required.
• Work outdoors in various terrains and weather.
