Job summary

MGE Underground is seeking a Project Manager to lead diverse construction projects on-site in California. You will plan, budget, schedule, and supervise from start to finish, coordinating engineers, superintendents, and contractors while ensuring safety and adherence to timelines and budgets.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of construction experience (2+ in management), strong reading of blueprints, and proficiency with MS Project and MS Office. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable construction experience with 2+ years in a manager role.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Experience in utility construction preferred.
• Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise multiple projects from start to finish within budgets and timelines.
• Oversee budgets, coordinate contractors, and manage construction processes.
• Read blueprints/plans/specs/contracts and ensure safety compliance.
• Travel to jobsites to gather information and supervise progress.
• Engage owner representatives and management on pricing, scheduling, and planning.
