Job summary

St. Tammany Parish Government seeks a Supervisor 1 – Electrical Maintenance in the Utilities Department to oversee direct reports and manage operations in water and wastewater facilities.

The role requires supervising electrical and mechanical work, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance, with after-hours responsibilities as needed and a valid driver's license. Experience with lift stations, wells, and wastewater plants is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 5+ years in utility electrical and structural maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Class 2 (or above) LDH Operator certification preferred; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical and electrical work for water/wastewater systems and lift stations.
• Coordinate maintenance, repair, and installation of water infrastructure.
• Monitor lift stations and pumps; troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Manage payroll time and records; ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinate with other divisions on capital projects and safety.
