Job summary

CSUN, home to The Soraya Center for the Performing Arts in Northridge, seeks a Lead Usher to supervise a customer service team for events and campus theaters. You will guide audience services, assist patrons with seating, and enforce venue policies during performances.

Position is on-site, intermittent and on-call, with a wage range described below; prior crowd-control and theatre protocol experience is valued, and CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to at least one year of related experience in audience or customer services or theatre-related setting.
• Preferred experience as Soraya Usher.
• CPR/AED/First Aid and TIPS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead an Audience Services team for scanning tickets, distributing programs, and seating patrons.
• Enforce policies on personal items, food/beverage, and recording devices; manage safe crowds and emergency exit guidance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
