Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Test and Integration Engineer to drive testing and validation across the Undersea Systems Division (USD). You will lead efforts in testing underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions for critical Navy missions.

You'll guide a multidisciplinary team through development, integration, and validation, ensuring reliability from prototype to deployment and collaborating with engineers, software, and hardware teams across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years hands-on testing, integration, validation, and verification experience with software and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Experience with testing frameworks, scripting, and automation tools.
• Proficiency in test automation, data acquisition systems, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Test and Validate: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure system functionality, reliability, and compliance with requirements.
• Integrate systems and conduct hands-on testing: Develop and execute integration plans to bring complex systems together. Perform hands-on testing, validation, and verification of software and hardware systems, including integrated electro‑mechanical systems.
• Collaborate: Work closely with systems engineers, software developers, and hardware teams to identify and resolve issues during testing phases.
• Automate Testing: Develop automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline validation processes.
• Analyze Results: Document and analyze test results, providing detailed reports and recommendations for system improvements.
• Mentor Team: Guide and mentor a matrixed team of engineers through testing phases of the product lifecycle.
