Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking a seasoned Manager – Projects Underground Mining & Infrastructure to lead the Haile underground expansion. You will plan, design, and deliver a complex underground project, coordinating across engineering, operations, and contractors to achieve a safe, on-schedule, on-budget delivery.

You will oversee development and infrastructure while managing budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations in a high-impact leadership role at Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of mining/project experience.
• 5+ years in senior underground development/start-up roles.
• Proven delivery from inception to close-out.
• Strong underground mining, project management and controls.
• Experience across start-up and operating environments.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, risk and commercial capability.
• Engineering degree and related qualifications; Mine Manager’s Certificate highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Haile Underground project.
• Oversee development, design, infrastructure and execution.
• Drive safety, schedule, cost, quality and risk performance.
• Lead contractor selection, tendering, award and performance management.
• Oversee budgets, CAPEX, forecasting and cost optimization.
• Ensure alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
• Build relationships with site leadership, operations, contractors, regulators.
