Job summary

OceanaGold Haile Gold Mine located in South Carolina seeks an experienced Project Engineer to establish and manage underground development and infrastructure for the Ledbetter Underground (LUG) Project. Coordinate daily activities between contractors and LUG Management for the various development and execution projects on site.

The role emphasizes project management, safety, and cost control, with responsibilities including reviewing drawings, maintaining master schedules, and ensuring quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of underground experience preferred.
• Experience in mine planning and scheduling software.
• Strong computer literacy in MS Office and industry standard software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily contractor activities with LUG Management for development and execution projects.
• Maintain Master Project Schedule and reflect as-builts and weekly progress.
• Ensure works meet safety, quality, and end-user requirements.
• Support development of updated forecasts and budgets with management.
• Promote safety and environmental initiatives across site.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field
