Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech seeks an Electrical Systems Lead to own the air vehicle electrical architecture, power distribution, wiring systems, and electrical integration across subsystems. You will act as the technical authority, coordinate with avionics, systems engineering, manufacturing, and test teams, and translate vehicle requirements into a producible electrical design.

This on-site role at San Luis Obispo requires 8–12+ years in aerospace electrical design and a strong background in power

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8–12+ years in aircraft/UAS electrical design.
• Experience leading electrical system or power architecture development.
• IPT/program environment experience.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD/harness tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system architecture for Air Vehicle IPT.
• Define power distribution, protection, and grounding.
• Own requirements flowdown and design margins.
• Lead design reviews, changes, and configuration decisions.
• Guide wiring harnesses, enclosures, and interfaces.
• Ensure EMI/EMC, safety, and manufacturability considerations.
• Support testing, anomaly resolution, and production readiness.
