Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking an Aircraft Electrical Interconnect (EWIS) Lead to architect, design, integrate, and validate electrical interconnect across multiple UAS platforms. You will define electrical architecture, guide subsystem trade studies, and supervise engineers to ensure safety, reliability and manufacturability of harnessing and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in electrical, avionics, or embedded hardware development.
• Demonstrated leadership of small engineering/specialist teams.
• Experience supporting full product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Experience generating wiring schematics, connector pinouts, and harness drawings using CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex wire harnesses, including signal, power, data, and RF lines for UAS systems.
• Evaluate design trade-offs on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain BOMs and support drawing releases.
• Lead investigations and root-cause analyses affecting safety or mission performance.
• Mentor and supervise junior electrical engineers across levels.
