Job summary

This role offers substantial autonomy across calibration methods, metrology, and publication-quality results, with collaboration across device design, fabrication, software, theory, and R&D.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience calibrating two-qubit gates on superconducting devices.
• Understanding of gate design, pulse engineering, and decoherence.
• Ability to execute complex experiments end-to-end.
• Strong Python skills in scientific contexts.
• Excellent communication in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead experiments to characterize and optimize two-qubit gates.
• Identify gate-error bottlenecks and sources of decoherence.
• Develop calibration methods with pulse shaping and error suppression.
• Provide actionable feedback to device design and control teams.
• Publish findings and contribute to the field.
