Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is looking for an experienced Technician I in Honolulu to maintain and repair the newest fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete repairs with guidance from leadership.

The role emphasizes independent work, safety compliance, and ongoing training through Penske’s certification programs. A strong customer-service mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Able to perform major/minor repairs and diagnostics.
• Familiar with DOT/OSHA safety policies and PPE usage.
• Experience with OEM training courses and certifications (preferred).
• Ability to work with Penske tools and diagnostic systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Repair major components such as engines, transmissions, differentials; replace assemblies as needed.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Log and diagnose repairs using Penske tools and tech.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training.
