Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician in Kapolei, HI to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs across a diverse fleet. You’ll log and diagnose issues using Penske tools, learn through hands-on coaching, and grow with industry-certified training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Teamwork and outdoor work ability.
Basic computer skills.
Must understand and comply with Penske instructions, rules and safety policies (DOT/OSHA).
Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and FMCSA Clearinghouse review for DOT compliance.
Willingness to work the required schedule and location; potential travel for training.

Responsibilities

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
Performing preventative maintenance repairs (tires, lubrication, some electrical, cooling systems on gas/diesel engines).
Collaborating with manager to learn new skills through Penske training and hands-on coaching.
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
