Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician in Kapolei, HI to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs across a diverse fleet. You’ll log and diagnose issues using Penske tools, learn through hands-on coaching, and grow with industry-certified training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Teamwork and outdoor work ability.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske instructions, rules and safety policies (DOT/OSHA).
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and FMCSA Clearinghouse review for DOT compliance.
• Willingness to work the required schedule and location; potential travel for training.

Responsabilités

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance repairs (tires, lubrication, some electrical, cooling systems on gas/diesel engines).
• Collaborating with manager to learn new skills through Penske training and hands-on coaching.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
