Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson in Iowa City to oversee daily crew operations and enforce safety protocols on site.

You will train crew members, troubleshoot job-site issues, and manage reports, timesheets, and equipment maintenance while maintaining customer relations. This full-time, hourly role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily crew work after orders from a General Foreperson/Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Obtains access permissions from property owners and coordinates with customers.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance and activities.
• Controls crew costs and monitors use of people, methods, and equipment.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed, units of work, and incidents as required.
