Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Mount Vernon, IL seeks a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson to supervise daily crew operations, coordinate work orders with management, and enforce safety protocols on site.

You will conduct field training, manage documentation, maintain equipment, and liaise with customers while ensuring DOT compliance and timely completion. This is a full-time, non-exempt role with union wage scale and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to read and interpret drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, and equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pre-employment requirements include drug screen/background/MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders are received.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew members.
• Enforces safety practices per policy and OSHA standards.
• Communicates with property owners about access and work responsibilities.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and crew performance reports.
• Manages crew costs and resource allocation on site.
• Reports on incidents, equipment issues, and field performance.
