Job summary

Horner & Shifrin seeks a full-time Project Engineer in our Transportation unit in Salt Lake City, UT. The role requires 5+ years of experience and includes leading project teams, developing engineering solutions, and delivering comprehensive end products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred).
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs.
• Experience with Utah Department of Transportation and municipalities preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and design software (MicroStation/OpenRoadsDesigner/Geopak or AutoCAD Civil 3D).

Responsibilities

• Resolve engineering problems and tasks with guidance as needed.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare and write engineering reports.
• Collaborate on municipal, county, and state transportation projects.
• Assist in reports, feasibility studies, and PS&E development.
