Horner & Shifrin in Salt Lake City, UT, seeks a Senior Roadway Project Manager to lead roadway and highway projects, mentor staff, and grow the firm's transportation practice in Utah and the western US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license in Utah preferred.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with UDOT and local municipalities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and highway design packages.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients and staff at all levels.
• Lead, mentor, manage, and schedule project teams to meet objectives.
• Oversee multiple projects to maintain schedules and budgets.
• Lead planning, design, and delivery of roadway projects.
• Prepare engineering reports, studies, and technical documentation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Interact and communicate with clients and staff at all levels
• Lead, mentor, manage, and schedule project teams to meet project objectives
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously to maintain schedules and budgets
• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and highway improvement projects
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
• Prepare engineering reports, studies, and technical documentation
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships
• Expand client relationships and support business development efforts throughout Utah

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 10+ years of relevant transportation engineering experience
• Experience working directly with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and local municipalities
• Existing client and business development relationships within Utah
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Utah preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Experience using MicroStation
• Knowledge of at least one highway design package (OpenRoads, GeoPak, or Civil 3D)
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

SALARY RANGE

Horner & Shifrin offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000 - $155,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will be based on their unique combination of skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
