Horner & Shifrin, Inc. seeks a Senior Roadway Project Manager to join our Transportation team in Salt Lake City, UT.

You will lead roadway and highway projects, mentor and develop staff, strengthen client relationships, and help expand our presence across Utah and the western United States. As part of our Salt Lake City office, you’ll shape our regional growth, collaborate with experienced professionals, and deliver transportation analyses, reports, and design documents while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• PE license in Utah preferred.
• Experience with UDOT and local municipalities.
• Existing client and business development relationships in Utah.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience using MicroStation.
• Knowledge of OpenRoads, GeoPak or Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Interact and communicate with clients and staff at all levels.
• Lead, mentor, manage, and schedule project teams to meet objectives.
• Oversee multiple projects to maintain schedules and budgets.
• Lead planning, design, and delivery of roadway and highway improvement projects.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare engineering reports, studies, and technical documentation.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
• Expand client relationships and support business development across Utah.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously to maintain schedules and budgets
• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and highway improvement projects
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
• Prepare engineering reports, studies, and technical documentation
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships
• Expand client relationships and support business development efforts throughout Utah

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of relevant transportation engineering experience
• Experience working directly with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and local municipalities
• Existing client and business development relationships within Utah
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Utah preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Experience using MicroStation
• Knowledge of at least one highway design package (OpenRoads, GeoPak, or Civil 3D)
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

SALARY RANGE

Horner & Shifrin offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000 - $155,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will be based on their unique combination of skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
