Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in North Carolina is seeking a Transportation Technician IV to serve as lead inspector on major transportation construction projects across the state. This role requires strong field supervision, rigorous documentation, and coordination with agencies, contractors, and the public.

Formación

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Survey Technology with 7+ years of technician experience.
• Active driver’s license is required.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting highway construction plans.
• Ability to plan, develop, schedule, track and complete projects with limited supervision.
• Strong understanding of DOT standards and roadway drawings; certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect contractor operations on transportation projects to verify conformance with plans and specs.
• Supervise and mentor field inspection staff during construction.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Collect and maintain records including certifications, test reports and diaries.
• Interface with public agencies, contractors, and internal teams to resolve field issues.
