Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in transportation engineering.
• PE license: currently held or in progress.
• Experience applying Caltrans, MUTCD, and AASHTO design standards.
• Familiarity with signing, striping, and traffic signal plans.
• Experience leading proposals and nurturing client relationships.
• Interest in mentoring and training staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and planning studies.
• Perform field work and support during construction.
• Prepare conceptual designs that are accurate, feasible, and visually engaging.
• Prepare PS&E for transportation projects including complete streets, bikeways, traffic signals, signing/striping, and lighting.
• Manage direct client interaction and public engagement.
• Market and bring in new projects by nurturing client relationships and preparing proposals.
• Mentor colleagues and receive mentorship from senior staff.
• Adopt new tools and technologies while maintaining professional judgment.
