Job summary

WSP is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our team supporting the Lake Oswego, OR office, with consideration for Boise, ID; Salt Lake City, UT; and Billings, MT.

You will provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission lines up to 765 kV, collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams, guiding project schedules, QA/QC, and client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 5–7 years of post-education experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in the transmission field of designing/managing projects and leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO‑95.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS‑CADD operation.
• Strong English language skills with good written and oral communication.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Create and maintain a project schedule.
• Coordinate with clients on project status and support meetings.
• Mentor staff and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget development.
• Forecast resource requirements and QA/QC adherence.
• Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed.
