Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Supervising Engineer - Transmission Line to oversee high‑voltage infrastructure projects. You will lead a team of engineers and designers to ensure safe, reliable delivery across communities.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and regulatory knowledge, with responsibility for planning, design, and project delivery in alignment with standards and client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in electric utility engineering or management for high voltage projects.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET-accredited university; PE license.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams or projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ANSI, NEC, NESC, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from inception to closeout, including planning and permitting.
• Supervise engineers, designers, and staff with coaching and evaluations.
• Prepare designs, specs, and plans for substations and transmission lines.
• Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety rules.
• Coordinate with agencies, contractors, and the public for delivery.
• Oversee quality control and maintain engineering documentation.
