Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer - Transmission Line to oversee high voltage infrastructure design and lead a design team through detailed engineering for EPC proposals. The role requires a strong civil, structural, electrical, or mechanical background with HV substation/transmission experience.

The ideal candidate will manage scope, schedule, and budgets while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Travel up to 10–20% may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or graduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electric utility industry for HV substations or transmission lines.
• PE license required.
• Strong technical knowledge in structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion (planning, design, permitting, construction support, closeout).
• Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specs for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with agencies, contractors, and the public for project delivery.
• Maintain detailed project status reports and documents.
