Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Construction Project Manager in California to support Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) and Program Manager efforts from pre-construction through warranty. The role requires oversight of safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, and coordination with clients across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and 7 years relevant project management experience in the construction industry required.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs, trainings, and policies, and promote safety performance of project team members and subcontractors.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and the successful execution of one or more projects.
• Develop project plans, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and setting objectives.
• Manage client relationships and interfacing with the client for proposal and project items.
• Negotiate contracts and change orders; participate in risk reviews; ensure compliance with plans and permits.
