Job summary

Toth & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Transmission Engineer III/IV in Billings, MT to independently design high-voltage transmission lines and structures. You will apply advanced engineering principles, develop concepts through final designs, and coordinate with project teams, clients, and contractors.

You will lead project tasks, review drawings, support field questions, and mentor Engineer I & II staff while pursuing PE licensure. Strong communication and ownership of deliverables are essential.

Qualifications

• BSCE/BSME/BSEE from an ABET-accredited engineering program required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• 3–6 years of progressive transmission line design experience.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing transmission design software, including PLS-CADD.
• Ability to independently perform design calculations and develop complete design packages.

Responsibilities

• Independently design high-voltage transmission lines, poles, and related structures.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, and material specifications.
• Coordinate with survey, environmental, geotechnical, and construction personnel.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Interface with clients, contractors, utilities, and project stakeholders.
