Job summary

Toth and Associates, Inc. seeks a Transmission Engineer III/IV to independently design and analyze high-voltage transmission lines, poles, and structures.

You will use PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, AutoCAD, and other tools to develop detailed designs and construction packages, with responsibility for schedules, budgets, and client communication. Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of progressive line design experience, EIT certification, and a strong grasp of NESC standards, along with mentoring junior staff

Qualifications

• BSCE/BSME/BSEE from ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• 3–6 years of progressive transmission line design experience.
• Experience with transmission design software including PLS-CADD.

Responsibilities

• Independently design high-voltage transmission lines, poles, and related structures and perform structural, electrical, and line performance analyses.
• Develop detailed transmission line models and construction designs using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, AutoCAD, and related software.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, packages, and material specifications; review staking sheets and Bills of Materials.
• Coordinate with survey, environmental, geotechnical, and construction teams to support project execution.
• Mentor Engineer I/II, support training and professional development; interface with clients and contractors.
