Job summary

Toth & Associates, Inc. in Billings, MT, is seeking a Transmission Engineer III/IV to independently design high-voltage transmission lines, poles, and related structures, and to perform analyses and prepare construction packages.

Qualifications

• BSCE, BSME, or BSEE from ABET-accredited engineering program required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• 3–6 years of progressive transmission line design experience.
• Experience utilizing transmission design software including PLS-CADD.

Responsibilities

• Independently design high-voltage transmission lines, poles, and related structures; perform analyses.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, construction packages, and material specs.
• Coordinate with survey, environmental, geotechnical, and construction personnel for project execution.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate design progress.
