Job summary

STV, a leading transportation and infrastructure firm, seeks a Senior Transit Architect in New York, NY to lead architectural design across rail/transit projects. You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, prepare plans, and supervise execution from concept through construction documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a professional architecture degree, registered in NY, and 15+ years in transit design, with strong Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Professional Architecture degree required (B. Arch or M. Arch).
• Minimum 15 years as a project architect in rail/transit.
• Transit architecture design experience including stations and facilities.
• New York State Architectural license required (Registered).
• Experience in transportation sector required.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office.
• OpenBuildings, Rhino, 3ds Max, SketchUp a plus; LEED a plus.
• Strong design, detailing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach architectural staff across disciplines.
• Prepare architecture plans and supervise execution.
• Perform design analysis, develop design details and specs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and manufacturers.
• Ensure code compliance and conformance with standards.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs; conduct site inspections.
