Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Shop Trailer Mechanic for an on-site shop role. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced trailer repairs, serving as the lead on jobsites and coordinating with customers and technicians.

The ideal candidate has extensive trailer systems knowledge, strong diagnostics, and ASE certifications or those working toward them. Excellent safety and documentation practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of related field experience or equivalent combination.
• Own hand tools and ability to bring to work.
• ASE T8 and 608/609 certifications preferred within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Diagnose, repair, and triage light to heavy trailer systems as lead tech.
• Collaborate with service writers, manage parts, and document on RO.
