Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer registration in Minnesota or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering with emphasis in design or operations.
• Experience with signing, pavement markings, construction staging, traffic signals, and roadway lighting.
• Experience with design software such as Bentley OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with traffic data collection, forecasting, safety evaluations, and traffic studies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Interest in business development and project management responsibilities.
• PTOE or RSP certification or interest in attaining credentials.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic engineering tasks for design and plan development.
• Perform traffic operations analyses, safety evaluations, and traffic studies.
• Prepare or oversee plans, specifications, cost estimates, memoranda, and reports.
• Support client coordination and project delivery with technical leadership.
