Job summary

TKDA seeks a Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager - Traffic to lead transportation projects across Minnesota and beyond. You will drive technical excellence, mentor staff, and manage client relations while expanding the traffic engineering practice.

The role blends project management, technical leadership, and business development with a seller-doer approach to winning new work and delivering successful projects for state and local agencies and design-build teams.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and P.E. license in Minnesota or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 10 years of traffic engineering or related transportation experience.
• Experience leading traffic engineering projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience managing multiple projects including scope, schedule, budget, and staffing.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic engineering projects in design and operations or a combination of both.
• Oversee plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical memoranda, and reports.
• Provide technical direction and quality oversight within areas of expertise.
