Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager - Traffic to lead transportation projects across Wisconsin and nationally. You will guide traffic design and operations, manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and mentor junior staff.

This role requires a PE in Wisconsin or eligibility, 10+ years of experience, and strong client relations capabilities. Proficiency with OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and traffic analysis tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Professional Engineer licensure in Wisconsin or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 10 years of traffic engineering or related transportation experience.
• Experience leading traffic design and/or traffic operations projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven business development experience and success securing new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic engineering projects in design and/or operations.
• Oversee plans, specs, estimates, and technical memos/reports.
• Provide technical direction and quality oversight.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, subconsultants, and teams.
