Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Graduate Traffic Engineer in Minnesota to help improve safety and mobility across transportation systems. You will collect and analyze traffic data and perform intersection evaluations while working with a collaborative team dedicated to your growth and technical development.

You will gain experience in both traffic operations and design, preparing studies and construction plans, and developing a well-rounded traffic engineering skill set early in your career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze traffic data.
• Perform intersection operations, safety, and multimodal evaluations.
• Prepare intersection and corridor studies.
• Conduct analyses using traffic simulation and modeling software.
• Prepare preliminary and final traffic engineering designs and develop construction plans for signing, pavement markings, temporary traffic control, traffic signals, and roadway lighting.
