Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor II in Roanoke, VA. You will lead traffic control crews, set up and monitor lane closures, and ensure safety compliance on state and local roadways.

The role requires ATSSA certification, valid license, and the ability to train and mentor team members. The position involves traveling to multiple job sites, coordinating equipment, and maintaining accurate project documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification required.
• ATSSA advanced training course completion required.
• Experience setting up traffic control on state/local roadways preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily traffic control crews, including technicians and flaggers.
• Set up, monitor, and remove lane closures on roadways.
• Ensure safety protocols, PPE compliance, and company policies.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to crew members.
• Maintain accurate timesheets, tickets, and project documentation.
• Operate MOT and TMA vehicles to protect workers and zones.
• Install traffic signs, cones, and related devices; adjust as needed.
• Travel to various job sites; perform equipment maintenance as required.
