Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones. You will supervise crews and monitor safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 2+ years in traffic control, ATSSA TCS intermediate training, and ability to travel statewide with overnight stays. The position is non-exempt and includes safety-focused responsibilities and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• 2+ years of traffic control experience and 4,000 field hours.
• ATSSA TCS intermediate training must be completed.
• Background check and motor vehicle records check required.
• DOT drug test clearance required.
• Wear safety gear: boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest.
• Ability to read plans and interpret traffic control plans.
• Knowledge of state/local roadways; experience with delivery vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds; travel statewide with overnight stays; nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs and set up traffic safety devices.
• Monitor the work zone throughout shifts and manage items.
• Load/unload traffic control items at shift changes.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Follow safety rules and Company policies.
