Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor II to oversee and execute traffic control and safety operations on assigned projects across statewide sites. Responsibilities include setting up and removing lane closures, directing crews, and ensuring work complies with safety regulations.

The role requires an ATSSA Supervisor certification, valid driver’s license, and 2–3 years of traffic control experience with a track record of leading crews and maintaining accurate project

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification required.
• ATSSA advanced training completion required.
• Experience setting up traffic control on state/local roadways.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Lead daily traffic control crews with demonstrated leadership.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to crew members.
• Mentor and train new hires in traffic control procedures.
• Ensure accurate timesheets and job documentation are submitted daily.
• Operate MOT and TMA vehicles to protect workers.
• Set up and monitor traffic safety devices and signs.
• Inspect work zones for proper device placement and safety.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on traffic control equipment.
• Maintain inventory of traffic control devices.
• Travel to multiple job sites; some overnight stays may be required.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
