Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems seeks a Traffic Control Supervisor II to oversee traffic control and safety operations on assigned projects. You will lead crews, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and manage lane closures on state highways and other roadways.

The role requires transporting equipment, mentoring team members, and maintaining project documentation. Travel statewide is required; nights and weekends are possible. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification required.
• Proven experience setting up traffic control operations on state and local roadways.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
• Lead daily traffic control crews, including Traffic Control Technicians and Flaggers, with demonstrated leadership.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Deliver daily toolbox talks and job‑specific safety training to crew members.
• Mentor and train new hires in proper traffic control and safety procedures.
• Ensure all timesheets, work tickets, and job documentation are completed accurately and submitted daily.
• Operate MOT and TMA vehicles on job sites to protect workers and work zones.
• Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control devices and related safety gear.
• Inspect work zones for proper device placement and site safety.
• Perform shop duties including maintenance and repair of traffic control equipment.
