Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Lead Ticketing Representative to drive ticket sales for all properties, deliver exceptional guest service, and manage cash handling procedures. The role includes supervising box office staff, training new employees, and ensuring accurate reporting for shows, events, and attractions.

The position requires 2+ years of customer service and cash handling experience, with preferred familiarity in ticketing and the ability to work varied shifts,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service and cash handling experience.
• Experience with ticketing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the box office staff when the Director and Manager are not available.
• Open and Close the Box Office when necessary.
• Train new employees on the ticketing process and procedures.
• Assist front line staff with guest issues within the scope of authority.
• Oversee satellite box office and send out ticket reports when necessary.
• Sell tickets, upsell, cross sell and process ticket orders, will call for shows, events, exhibits, and attractions for all properties utilizing prompt and courteous service to all guests.
• Perform ticket verification prior to entry into exhibit and events.
• Provide educated answers to guest questions, and able to furnish detailed information regarding property facilities and services.
• Utilize and balance a cash drawer and ticket sales with various tender types.
• Interpret and operate numerous computer and ticketing systems with accuracy.
• Answer multi-line telephones using proper etiquette.

THE JOB:

It is primary responsibility of the Lead Ticketing Representative to perform a variety of duties including ticket sales to all properties, for internal shows, events, exhibits, and attractions. The Representative will provide exceptional guest service, exceed guest expectations, cash handling, and service recovery.

THE STARTING RATE:

$18.40

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 2+ Years of prior relevant experience with customer service and cash handling
• Experience with ticketing is preferred
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age or older
