Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation in Erie, PA is seeking a lead operator for the Crystal Assembly area. You will follow direction from supervision, coordinate work, and secure resources to meet manufacturing goals while assembling and testing electronic products from NPI to EOL.

You will execute test procedures, capture data, pass/fail units, troubleshoot defects, and lead RCCA activities. The role requires reading routers, procedures, and schematics, training others, and maintaining high

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or 7-10+ years of experience.
• Strong math and computer skills are required.
• IPC J-STD-001 Certification for soldering requirements is preferred.
• Ability to read routers, test procedures, and schematics.
• Able to perform advanced troubleshooting and RCCA steps.
• U.S. Citizenship required per ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily tasks with a small team and address risks that could affect production priorities.
• Train other operators in department processes.
• Perform regular inspections of tools, test setups, and equipment to meet quality standards.
• Setup and maintain test setups throughout production lifecycle.
• Execute ATP during production runs and troubleshoot basic faults.
• Document test results and product data as required.
• Assemble a wide range of products using drawings, instructions, and parts lists.
• Solder and desolder components as needed.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.

Assemble and test manufactured electronic products starting at the New Product Introduction (NPI)phase to the End Of Life (EOL).Ensure products are working exactly as intended, and are free of defects or others issues.Execute test procedures per work instructions, capture test data and pass or fail the assembled product. Troubleshoot defects andlead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Serve in a lead operator capacity for Crystal Assembly area. Following direction from the direct supervisor and operations leadership, coordinate work activities and obtain resources necessary to meet manufacturing goals. Assemble and test manufactured electronic products starting at the New Product Introduction (NPI)phase to the End Of Life (EOL).Ensure products are working exactly as intended, and are free of defects or others issues.Execute test procedures per work instructions, capture test data and pass or fail the assembled product. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinatesdaily tasks with a smallteam,and escape risks and issues that could impact priorities within the production plan.
• Train other operators in all aspects of the department.
• Performregular inspections based on the company’s defined quality standards for tools, test setups, and other miscellaneous equipment used by production.
• Setup and maintaintest setups throughout the product production lifecycle.
• Executeproduct Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) during the production run, and troubleshoot basic faults that are caused by manufacturing defectsor testing environment.
• Documenttest results and product data as required per the manufacturing router and End Item Data Packets (EIDP).
• Work with production/assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings and verbal instructions to assemble a wide assortment of products or components.
• Solderand de-soldercomponents/parts from the product at times will be required to assemble the final product or component.
• Work at differentworkstationsas production needs require.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or 7-10+ years of experience. Strong math and computer skills are required.

• IPC J-STD-001 Certification for "Requirements for Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, and additional module "Space Addendum".
• Ability to read and comprehend routers, test procedures, and schematics.
• Ability to understand and communicate work packages, risks, issues, work instructions and policies/procedures.
• Ability to recognize problems and performadvancedtroubleshooting steps to identify manufacturing,design and/or testing defects.
• Per ITAR Compliance must be a U.S. Citizen.
