Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation is seeking an assembly and test technician to drive product quality from New Product Introduction through End Of Life. You will follow work instructions, capture data, and pass or fail assembled products while troubleshooting defects and leading RCCA activities.

The role requires reading schematics, performing basic tests, and coordinating with a small team to meet daily production goals. IPC certification and strong math/computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent preferred or 5–10+ years of experience.
• Strong math and computer skills are required.
• IPC J-STD-001 Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electronic products from NPI to EOL.
• Execute test procedures per work instructions and record data.
• Troubleshoot defects and lead RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action).
• Coordinate daily tasks with a small team and escalate risks to the production plan.
• Perform inspections of tools, test setups, and equipment for quality standards.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Assemble and test manufactured electronic products starting at the New Product Introduction (NPI)phase to the End Of Life (EOL).Ensure products are working exactly as intended, and are free of defects or others issues.Execute test procedures per work instructions, capture test data and pass or fail the assembled product.You’ll troubleshoot defects andlead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinatesdaily tasks with a smallteam,and escalaterisks and issues that could impact priorities within the production plan.
• Performregular inspections based on the company’s defined quality standards for tools, test setups, and other miscellaneous equipment used by production.
• Setup and maintaintest setups throughout the product production lifecycle.
• Executeproduct Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) during the production run, and troubleshoot basic faults that are caused by manufacturing defectsor testing environment.
• Documenttest results and product data as required per the manufacturing router and End Item Data Packets (EIDP).
• Work with production/assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings and verbal instructions to assemble a wide assortment of products or components.
• Solderand desoldercomponents/parts from the product at times will be required to assemble the final product or component.
• Work at differentworkstationsas production needs require.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent is preferred, or 5-10+ years of experience. Strong math and computer skills are required.

• IPC J-STD-001 Certification for "Requirements for Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, and additional module "Space Addendum"."
• Ability to read and comprehend routers, test procedures, and schematics.
• Ability to understand and communicate work packages, risks, issues, work instructions and policies/procedures.
• Ability to recognize problem and performadvancedtroubleshooting steps to identify manufacturing,design and/or testing defects.
• Per ITAR Compliance must be a U.S. Citizen.
