KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation in Erie, PA, seeks an Electronics Production Technician to assemble and test electronic products through the full lifecycle, from NPI to EOL. You will run ATPs, capture data, and pass or fail products while troubleshooting defects.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily tasks, inspecting tools, setting up test stations, and documenting results per routing. This role requires reading schematics, recognizing issues, and maintaining quality across multiple

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent, or 5-10+ years of experience.
  • Strong math and computer skills required.
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification for soldering standards and related space addendum is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates daily tasks with a small team, and escalate risks and issues that could impact priorities within the production plan.
  • Perform regular inspections based on defined quality standards for tools, test setups, and other equipment used by production.
  • Setup and maintain test setups throughout the product production lifecycle.
  • Execute product Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) during the production run, and troubleshoot basic faults caused by manufacturing defects or testing environment.
  • Document test results and product data as required per the manufacturing router and EIDP.
  • Work with production/assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings and verbal instructions to assemble a wide assortment of products or components.
  • Solder and desolder components during assembly as needed.
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Assemble and test manufactured electronic products starting at the New Product Introduction (NPI)phase to the End Of Life (EOL).Ensure products are working exactly as intended, and are free of defects or others issues.Execute test procedures per work instructions, capture test data and pass or fail the assembled product.You’ll troubleshoot defects andlead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinatesdaily tasks with a smallteam,and escalaterisks and issues that could impact priorities within the production plan.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent is preferred, or 5-10+ years of experience. Strong math and computer skills are required.

  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification for "Requirements for Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, and additional module "Space Addendum"."
  • Ability to read and comprehend routers, test procedures, and schematics.
  • Ability to understand and communicate work packages, risks, issues, work instructions and policies/procedures.
  • Ability to recognize problem and performadvancedtroubleshooting steps to identify manufacturing,design and/or testing defects.
  • Per ITAR Compliance must be a U.S. Citizen.
