KYOCERA AVX Greenville LLC in Harborcreek Township (near Erie) seeks a Lead Operator for the Crystal Assembly area. You will coordinate daily production activities under supervision, assemble and test electronic products from NPI to EOL, ensure functionality and defect-free operation, and lead RCCA when needed.

You will train fellow operators, perform inspections, set up test rigs, document results per router and EIDP, and work across multiple workstations as production demands.

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent preferred, or 7-10+ years experience.
  • Strong math and computer skills are required.
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification for soldering standards is preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend routers, test procedures, and schematics.
  • Ability to understand and communicate work packages, risks, issues and policies.
  • Ability to recognize problems and perform advanced troubleshooting.
  • Per ITAR Compliance must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections of tools, test setups, and equipment to meet quality standards.

  • Execute ATPs during production and troubleshoot faults from manufacturing defects or testing environments.
  • Document test results and product data per router and EIDP.
  • Work with instructions, parts lists, drawings, and verbal guidance to assemble products.
  • Solder and desolder components as needed for assembly.
  • Work at different workstations as production demands require.

Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Serve in a lead operator capacity for Crystal Assembly area. Following direction from the direct supervisor and operations leadership, coordinate work activities and obtain resources necessary to meet manufacturing goals. Assemble and test manufactured electronic products starting at the New Product Introduction (NPI)phase to the End Of Life (EOL).Ensure products are working exactly as intended, and are free of defects or others issues.Execute test procedures per work instructions, capture test data and pass or fail the assembled product. Troubleshoot defects andlead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinatesdaily tasks with a smallteam,and escape risks and issues that could impact priorities within the production plan.
  • Train other operators in all aspects of the department.
  • Performregular inspections based on the company's defined quality standards for tools, test setups, and other miscellaneous equipment used by production.
  • Setup and maintaintest setups throughout the product production lifecycle.
  • Executeproduct Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) during the production run, and troubleshoot basic faults that are caused by manufacturing defectsor testing environment.
  • Documenttest results and product data as required per the manufacturing router and End Item Data Packets (EIDP).
  • Work with production/assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings and verbal instructions to assemble a wide assortment of products or components.
  • Solderand de-soldercomponents/parts from the product at times will be required to assemble the final product or component.
  • Work at differentworkstationsas production needs require.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent is preferred, or 7-10+ years of experience. Strong math and computer skills are required.

  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification for "Requirements for Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, and additional module "Space Addendum".
  • Ability to read and comprehend routers, test procedures, and schematics.
  • Ability to understand and communicate work packages, risks, issues, work instructions and policies/procedures.
  • Ability to recognize problems and performadvancedtroubleshooting steps to identify manufacturing,design and/or testing defects.
  • Per ITAR Compliance must be a U.S. Citizen.
