Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Greenville LLC is seeking an assembler/test technician to join the production team in Erie, PA. You will assemble and test electronic products from NPI to EOL, ensuring they meet exact specifications and are defect-free.

You will troubleshoot defects and lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes. You will perform ATP testing, document results, and work with routers, drawings and instructions.

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent; 5-10+ years experience acceptable.
  • Strong math and computer skills required.
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification for soldering; Space Addendum preferred; read and interpret routers, procedures, and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily tasks with a small team and escalate risks impacting production priorities.
  • Perform inspections based on quality standards for tools, test setups and equipment.
  • Set up and maintain test setups throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and troubleshoot defects from manufacturing or testing environments.
  • Document test results and product data per routing and EIDP requirements.
  • Assemble products using instructions, parts lists, drawings, and verbal guidance.
  • Occasionally solder and desolder components as needed to finalize assembly.
  • Work at multiple workstations as production demands require.

Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Assemble and test manufactured electronic products starting at the New Product Introduction (NPI)phase to the End Of Life (EOL).Ensure products are working exactly as intended, and are free of defects or others issues.Execute test procedures per work instructions, capture test data and pass or fail the assembled product.You'll troubleshoot defects andlead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinatesdaily tasks with a smallteam,and escape risks and issues that could impact priorities within the production plan.
  • Performregular inspections based on the company's defined quality standards for tools, test setups, and other miscellaneous equipment used by production.
  • Setup and maintaintest setups throughout the product production lifecycle.
  • Executeproduct Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) during the production run, and troubleshoot basic faults that are caused by manufacturing defectsor testing environment.
  • Documenttest results and product data as required per the manufacturing router and End Item Data Packets (EIDP).
  • Work with production/assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings and verbal instructions to assemble a wide assortment of products or components.
  • Solderand de-soldercomponents/parts from the product at times will be required to assemble the final product or component.
  • Work at differentworkstationsas production needs require.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two-year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent is preferred, or 5-10+ years of experience. Strong math and computer skills are required.

  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification for "Requirements for Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, and additional module "Space Addendum".
  • Ability to read and comprehend routers, test procedures, and schematics.
  • Ability to understand and communicate work packages, risks, issues, work instructions and policies/procedures.
  • Ability to recognize problem and performadvancedtroubleshooting steps to identify manufacturing,design and/or testing defects.
  • Per ITAR Compliance must be a U.S. Citizen.
