Job summary

VTG is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to support our customer. You will provide testing expertise for complex software and hardware applications, directing risk assessments and test design across development phases.

This role requires a BA/BS in a technical discipline, a Secret clearance (Top Secret eligible), and a willingness to travel 75% or more. You will ensure that test designs and documentation meet client, agency, and industry standards, manage environmental and performance tests, and

• Must have and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Eligible for a Top Secret.
• Willing to travel 75% or more.

Responsibilities

• Provide testing expertise across complex software/hardware applications.
• Lead risk management assessments and test design activities.
• Ensure testing aligns with client, agency, or industry standards and timelines.
• Plan and administer environmental, operational, or performance tests across diverse equipment.
• Direct engineering staff in construction of testing apparatus and data reduction.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports for engineering and management.
